Ricky Thomas Loudermelk age 58 passed away unexpectedly at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville late Tuesday evening, January 1, 2013. Born to William Thomas and Bessie Joan (Childers) Loudermelk, he was a member of Little River Baptist Church. Ricky had been a truck driver for 28 years and was better known by his friends as “Buttermilk”. In addition to his mother Bessie Loudermelk, he is preceded in death by an infant sister, Jill N. Loudermelk; his father-in-law Joe McDuffie, and several aunts and uncles. Those remaining to cherish his memories are his father Tom Loudermelk. One daughter Becky Villanueva and husband Dee. One son Wesley Loudermelk and girlfriend Tabitha Gambill, as well as her children Ethan and Chloe. Two grandchildren; Destini and Dallas Villanueva. Other survivors include a brother Hank Loudermelk; the mother of his children Cim Loudermelk, his special Aunt Shirley Bumgarner, a very special mother-in-law Colleen McDuffie, a special friend Gene Smith, and a number of nephews, nieces, and other family members.
The Loudermelk family will receive friends on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Little River Baptist Church from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 pm. with Rev. Mark Robinette, Rev. Gary Jennings, and Rev. Danny Loudermelk officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
