Rita Boggs Bumgarner,

Rita Sue Boggs Bumgarner, age 55, of Taylorsville passed away Tuesday morning, March 19 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 21, 1957 in Lynch, KY to the late William Bobby Boggs and surviving, Betty Sue Durham Boggs. Rita loved caring for her family and had worked in the food service industry at Brian Center in Viewmont as a Nutritionist. Including her father, she is preceded in death by one sister - Mazie Catherine Boggs. Those left to cherish her memory along her mother is her husband - George Washington Bumgarner; four daughter - Tina (Hector) Juarez, Lydia (Tim) Whitener, Christy (Carlos) Rivera and Linda Boggs; one son- Jordan Moses; twelve grandchildren; six brothers - George Boggs, Robert Boggs, Charlie Barrett, Richard Durham, Tim Sturgill, and Rick Boggs along with a numerous number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service and Service will begin at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with speaker Tim Whitener. The family will have a private burial at a later time.
