Roby "Dean" Kerley, age 61, of Taylorsville passed away at his home on Friday, March 8, 2013. Born in Iredell County on October 11, 1951 to the late Roby Rance Kerley and Florence Evelyna Milstead Kerley. He was employed in the upholstery industry for most of his life. Dean was also an avid Dale Earnhardt and NC State Fan. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 38 years - Trudy Yuvonne Kerley, of the home; daughters - Heather Kerley Johnson and Kyle Cox, of Hiddenite and Hannah Danielle Kerley and Kenneth Cox, of Taylorsville; grandchildren - Alexis Johnson, Abigail Cox and Victoria, Allyson and Natalie Cox; sisters - Kay Sweet and husband Tim, Karen Jolly and husband Lanny and Lisa Barber and husband Kelly, all of Taylorsville; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. Service will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church with Rev. Stuart White and Rev. Gary Jennings officiating. Burial following in the church cemetery.
