Roger Lee Blankenship, age 56, of Hiddenite, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2016 at Gordon Hospice House. Mr. Blankenship was born to the late Herbert and Rosie May Blankenship who survives on November 8, 1959 in Buchanan County.
In addition to his mother Mr. Blankenship leaves to cherish his memory daughter Melissa McCall, five sons: Jesse, James, Brian, Kenneth, and Richard Blankenship; brother Billy Blankenship, five sisters: Bonnie Prater, Patricia Christian, Kathy May, Francis Simpson, and Jean McLaughlin, nine grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
A memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Alexander Funeral Service at 3:00 pm. The Rev. Randolph England will be officiating.
