Ronnie Lee Barnes, age 68, born on Sunday, March 4, 1956, in Ashe County, peacefully passed away at his home in Alexander County on Saturday, February 8, 2025. A supervisor at Schneider Mills, Ronnie exemplified commitment and hard work throughout his career, earning the respect of both peers and employees.

Ronnie was a cherished member of East Taylorsville Baptist Church, where he participated in Steve Lackey's Sunday School Class. His faith was an integral part of his life, guiding him in his relationships and nurturing his deep sense of community.

He is remembered fondly for his passions and hobbies. Ronnie had a keen interest in antique stores, often enjoying the thrill of discovering unique antiques and clocks. His love for old cars reflected his appreciation for classic craftsmanship and history.

Family was of utmost importance to Ronnie, and he took great pride in spending time with his loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Teresa "Tee-Tee" Barnes, and his son Chris Barnes (DeAnn). His siblings, Brenda Roten, Carol Bare, Linda Parsons, and Louise Bare, as well as brothers David Barnes and Jimmy Miller, will also carry his memory forward.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Dympsey Roten and Gladys Miller Barnes, as well as his brothers Tommy Barnes and Johnny Barnes. Their memories remain a cherished part of his legacy.

Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service at Hiddenite Cemetery, located at 136 Prichard Lane, Hiddenite, North Carolina, on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Rev. Kevin White and Rev. Justin Siniard will officiate. Andy Calhoun, Quinn Privette, Eric Privette, Brandon Johnson, Adrian Foster, and Dylan Foster will serve as pallbearers.

Ronnie will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his warmth, love for his family, and the joy he brought to those around him.
