Ronnie Gene Howell,

Ronnie Gene Howell, age 68, of Taylorsville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice. He was born in Alexander County on July 28, 1945 to the late Sarah Mae Howell. Ronnie worked in furniture manufacturing and also worked at Galaxy Market Basket. He was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church. He loved keeping the lawn looking nice and loved to help others do the same. Along with his mother, Ronnie was preceded in death by sister: Lucille Olivia Smith Charles; and brother: O'neil Smith, Jr. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 14 years, Constance "Connie" Dyson Howell of the home; son: Pepper Howell of Taylorsville; stepdaughters: Misty Dyson of Taylorsville, and Natasha Dyson of Goldsboro, NC; stepson: Brandon Dyson of Hickory; step granddaughters: Kiara Parsons and Arianna Parsons of Taylorsville; grandson: Monty Redmond; and step grandson: Jamal Parsons of Taylorsville.



Visitation will take place Friday, April 18, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Service. The service will be Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Liberty Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Ardeal Roseboro officiating.
