Rowena Lowe Hubbard,

Rowena Lowe Hubbard, age 81, of Taylorsville passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Born April 6, 1932 to the late William Roosevelt and Blanche Deal Lowe. She worked as a packer for Gulf State and Carolina Glove. Rowena was a member of Little River Baptist Church and loved quilting. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband: Albert Vernon Hubbard; and sisters: Wanda Lowe and Mabel St.Clair. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter: Shelia R. Hubbard of the home; sisters: Joyce St.Clair and Margery Hubbard; brothers: J.C. Lowe and wife Lola & Wayne Lowe all of Taylorsville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. Service will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 3:30 pm at Little River Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
