Roy Dale Dillard

Roy Dale Dillard, age 74, of Taylorsville passed away on Sunday November 10, 2024, in Iredell County. He was born to the late Robert Bruce and Ruth Dillard in Wilkes County on April 25, 1950. During his working career he was a mechanic in the Textile industry for Schneider Mills and JPS. Roy enjoyed working on old cars, hunting, fishing, camping, and Blue Grass music. 

 Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Jeffrey Allen Dillard. 

 Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years Carolyn Shumate Dillard, daughter Heather Dawn Dillard Donahue, brother Dennis Wayne Dillard, sister Robin Vickie Dillard, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 

 A private graveside service will take place in the Dillard Family Cemetery. His brother Rev. Dennis Wayne Dillard will officiate. 

 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.
