Ruby Setzer Livingston,

Ruby Lee Setzer Livingston, age 89, of Taylorsville passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013, at her residence. Born on April 19, 1924, in Burke County, to the late Haywood Norris and Jenny Emma Suddreth Setzer.  She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Livingston was a homemaker who loved sewing and quilting, along with antiques and doll collecting. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband: Perry James Livingston, as well as six siblings; one daughter: Carol Enloe; one daughter-in law: Cindy Killian Livingston; and a great grandchild: Tyler. She is survived by her son: Doug Livingston of the home; sister: Sally Hayes of Hickory and a special caregiver: Dianna King of Statesville.  Ruby has seven grand children: Lisa Blomeier (Fred), Marc Enloe (Tammy), Joyce Mellon (Chris), Julie Anderson (David), Thad Livingston (Kim), Alicia Cline, Andy Buckner (Charity). She has twelve great- grand children and four great- great grandchildren. Surviving also is two sister-in-laws: Eva Setzer of Hickory, and Lois McRary, of Lenoir and a son in law: Roger Enloe of Taylorsville, as well as, a number of nieces and nephews. The Livingston family would especially like to thank Hospice of Alexander County and Dian Ingram for their care during her illness.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 2:30 pm - 3:45 pm at Antioch Baptist Church, with funeral services to start at 4:00 pm. Entombment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Hickory following the services. Rev. Mark Morris and Rev. Dennis Spivey will officiate. Pallbearers include Thad Livingston, Marc Enloe, Luke Buckner, Jonathan Anderson, Jay Livingston, and Ricky Blomeier. Honorary pallbearers are Aaron Buckner, Logan and Jesse Anderson and Michael Brown.
