Ruth Luffman Pardue,

Ruth Luffman Pardue, age 88, of Taylorsville, passed away at Valley Nursing Center on August 3, 2016. Ruth was born in Surry County to the late Tyrie and Brancie Cox Luffman on August 8, 1927. Ruth was a member of East Taylorsville Baptist Church. She loved sewing, especially making baby pillows and doll clothes.

In addition to her parents Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Pardue Sr., son in law, Roy (Shorty) Brown, two brothers, and two sisters.

Ruth leaves to carry on her legacy six children: Carol Neuman (Gary) of Newton, Kay Bass of Dunn, NC, Paul Pardue Jr. (Linda), Cathy Brown, Joan Jones (Kenny), Nick Pardue (Maria) all of Taylorsville, nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, one step great grandchild, four great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm on Friday, August 5, 2016 at East Taylorsville Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Taylorsville City Cemetery.
