Ruth Richie Fox,

Ruth Richie Fox, age 72, passed away at her home in Alexander County on Tuesday, January 13, 2015.  She was born in Catawba County on July 4, 1942 to the late Herman Henry and Blanch Martha Caroline Benfield Richie.
She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and had played the organ for many years, until her health failed her.  One of her favorite pastimes was rocking her grandbabies.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years - Larry Dale Fox; two brothers-in-law Rayford Milstead and Paul Fox, and one sister-in-law Helen Hefner.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are one daughter Beverly Ruth Fox Bumgarner and husband, Terry; two sons Michael Dale Fox, and Gregory Lynn Fox and wife Ashley; grandchildren are Tyler Bumgarner and wife Ashley, Larisa Bumgarner, Dalas, Gwen, Bryson, and Jacob Fox; one sister Ruby Milstead; one sister-in-law Rita Fox, and one brother-in-law Cloyd Hefner, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation for Mrs. Fox will be held on Wednesday evening, January 14, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Service from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Concord Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Kyle Chapman and Rev. Eddie Jolly officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers include: Randy Milstead, Joe Barnes, Rick Lackey, Jack Morrison, Larry, Tester, and David Tester.  Honorary pallbearers include:  Jacob Burkes, Joshua Williams, Gage Isenhour, and Hunter White.
The family has requested that memorials be made to the Concord Baptist Church @ 7990 Paul Payne Store Road, Taylorsville, NC  28681 or Hospice of Iredell County @ 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC  28677.
