Sam Todd Ward

Sam Todd Ward, age 55, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023, at his home in Caldwell County. He was born to David Ward and Sally Ward on Monday, December 25, 1967, in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Mr. Ward had worked for the last 15 years for Ethan Allen and had worked in the furniture industry for 35 years. Sam attended East Taylorsville Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing, Miami Dolphins football, and fishing. Sam loved spending time with his grandchildren and children.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Ward Webb; five brothers, Jack Allen Ward, Robin Ryan Ward, and David Allen Ward, Eric Ward, and Terry Lee.

Those left to cherish the memories of Sam include his parents, David Ward and Sally Ward; three daughters, Shelby Melissa Ward and fiancé Corey Blankenship, Sydney Grace Arnett (Nick) and Savannah Taylor Ward; three sisters, Tammy Beckham (Bobby), Janet Christmas (Terry), and Kim Haywood (Billy), one brother, Kelly Joeseph Ward (Jennifer); three grandchildren, Adalyn Lamb, Emma Blankenship, Carter Blankenship, and one granddaughter expected, Stella Grace Arnett; special friends, Robin Wilson, Dale Bruce, Torlon “Squeeze” Williams; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, at Alexander Funeral Service from 4:00 pm to 5:45 pm. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, in the Alexander Funeral Service Chapel at 6:00 pm. Rev. Jamie Steele will officiate. Inurnment will be with the family.
