Sandra Darlene Lackey,

Sandra Darlene Lackey, age 60, of Hickory, passed away at Frye Regional Medical Center, on Sunday, June 7, 2015. Sandra was born to the late Grover "Bud" Junior and Betty Jane Hartness Lackey, on February 13, 1955, in Catawba County. Sandra was a homemaker, an avid animal lover, and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents Sandra was preceded in death by her son Randy La-Shawn Walker and a brother, Grover "Butch" Lackey Jr.

Sandra leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Shawtae La-Dawn Watts and husband Jonathan, of Taylorsville, two brothers, Tony Lackey, of Hickory, Rick Lackey, of Conover, one sister, Billie Powell Summerlin, of South Carolina, four grandchildren, Jeffery Deal, Gabriel Berry, Jadyn Watts, Tydyn Watts, all of Taylorsville, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Stony Point Baptist Church from 2:00-3:00 pm, with the graveside service following  at 3:00 pm in the Stony Point Baptist Cemetery. The Rev.
