Sandra Dyson Mundy,

Sandra Dyson Mundy, age 60, of Taylorsville, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, July 4th, 2011 at her home.  She was born on February 26th, 1951 in Catawba County to parents Rev. Devon Walter and Reba Mae Hildebran Dyson.   Sandra was a member of Concord Baptist Church.  She was an avid Tarheel basketball fan and enjoyed horseback riding.  She was preceded in death by her father.  Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Reba Dyson of the home; son, Bret Mundy & wife Mitzi of Taylorsville; 3 sisters: Laura Hamby & husband Jake of Moravian Falls, Sylvia Sprinkle, and Marcella Barlowe * both of Taylorsville; also, 1 brother, Rev. Tony Dyson & wife Alice of Taylorsville, and 2 grandsons: Tanner & Taite Mundy * also of Taylorsville.  She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.  Visitation for the Mundy family will be held on Wednesday, July 6th, 2011 at Alexander Funeral Service from 6:00 * 8:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, July 7th, 2011 at Concord Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. where Rev. Tony Dyson and Tanner Mundy will be officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour.  Burial will follow in Liledoun Cemetery.  Coty Barlowe, Jared Dyson, Nicolas Dyson, Ricky Hamby, Taite Mundy, and Max Hollar will serve as pallbearers.  In addition to flowers, memorials may be made to the Concord Baptist Church Building Fund @ 8044 Paul Payne Store Road, Stony Point, 28678. Alexander Funeral Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
