Sandra Rose Fox Redman

Sandra Rose Fox Redman, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully at her home in Alexander County on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on Tuesday, May 4, 1948, in Catawba County, her life was one filled with love, warmth, and cherished memories.

Sandra's career as a hostess at Captain's Galley in Statesville showcased her innate ability to connect with people. She loved and cherished her family deeply, relishing every moment spent together. Whether it was sharing laughter over a meal or creating new memories during family gatherings, Sandra's love for her family was the cornerstone of her life.

In addition to her dedication to her family, Sandra found joy in her hobbies and interests. She enjoyed reading, often getting lost in the pages of a good book, and enjoyed working in her yard, cultivating beauty in her surroundings. These simple pleasures brought her peace and happiness.

Sandra was also a member of Three Forks Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Patrick "Pete" Gilleland (Harriet); her grandchild, Carson Gilleland Johnson (Will); her sister, Kathie Barnes; her nephew, Derrick Barnes (Kisha); her niece, Kendra Fox (Edward); and her great-nieces and great-nephew, Zoe and Heidi Fox, Addison and Jenner Barnes. The love and legacy she leaves behind will continue to shine brightly through each of them.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Ruby Little Fox, and her brother-in-law, Maurice Barnes. 

A memorial service to celebrate Sandra's life will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Alexander Funeral Service in Taylorsville, North Carolina at 2:00 pm. Dr. Carson Moseley will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Taylorsville City Cemetery at a later date.

Sandra will be dearly missed, but her love, kindness, and unwavering spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.
