Sarah Lucy Dagenhart,

Sarah "Lucy" Dagenhart, age 91, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015 at her residence. She was born on March 29, 1924 to the late Garland Rudolph and Alta Geneva Drum Fulbright in Alexander County. Lucy was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren especially. Nothing mattered more to Lucy than her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years Hollis Buford Dagenhart, sister Eunice Sharpe, brother Clinton Fulbright, daughter-in-law Diane Dagenhart, and son-in-law Leon Call.

She leaves to carry on her legacy two daughters Linda Matthews and husband Harvey of Claremont, Penny Call of Conover, two sons Steve Dagenhart, Howard Dagenhart and wife Gail both of Stony Point, five grandchildren Stephanie Hubbard, Kimberly Dagenhart, Lisa Honeycutt, Chris Goodman, Sthr Dagenhart, three great grandsons Brett Dagenhart, Jared Hobbs, Blake Goodman, a niece Sandra Potts, and nephew Alex Sharpe.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 13, 2015 2:30-4:00 pm at Marvin United Methodist Church. The funeral will follow at 4:00 pm at the church. The Rev. Naomi King and Jeff Carson will be officiating the services. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include; Jared Hobbs, Blake Goodman, Brett Dagenhart, Hank Childers, Shawn Moose, and John Chambers.
