Sharon Dee Mace, age 63 of Taylorsville passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born November 23, 1957 to the late Ralph Lyle and Annie Ruth Locklear Craig in West Palm Beach Florida.
Sharon was a member of Oxford Memorial Baptist Church in Alexander County, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, working in the nursery at church, and working with the Good News Club at Ellendale Elementary School.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Vargo Locklear.
Those left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Mace include her husband of forty-three years, Robert Joseph Mace, three sons, Nathan Mace, Jefferson Mace (Krystal), Stephen Mace (Tiffany), brother, Charles Craig (Brenda), two sisters, Ann Dawson (David), Arlene Privette (Greg), four grandchildren, Riley, Lenora, Rallis, and Reagan Mace, along with a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Mace will Lie-in-State at Alexander Funeral Service on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. The graveside service for Mrs. Mace will be conducted on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in the Oxford Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy. 90 west. at 11:00 am. Rev. Neal Walker will be officiating.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Gideons International.
