Sheila Ann Childers

Sheila Ann Childers, age 61, of Taylorsville passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Sherrills Ford Hospice House. She was born on August 15, 1956, the daughter of Marie Miller and the late James Darrell Childers. Before she could no longer work, Sheila was previously employed as an Inspector for Alexvale Furniture and had also worked for Market Basket. She had such a sweet spirit about her and loved going to yard sales. Sheila was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, and friend. She will truly be missed but will forever be treasured in our hearts. Along with her father, she is preceded in death by her sister Sharon Melvin.

Including her mother, those remaining to hold on to her memory include her sons Chad Mecimore and Jeremy Mecimore & wife Jessica both of Taylorsville; daughter Maria Mecimore of Taylorsville; brother Ricky Childers of Taylorsville; sisters Jeannie Baird of Palm Springs, CA; Beverly Lackey of Bethlehem; and Vickie Jarrell; grandchildren Jordon, Taylor, Brandon, Caleb, Justin, Bella, & Kensley Mecimore; Emma Saunders; Zyaleigha Parsons; and Alexis Mecimore; along with a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Liledoun Baptist Church Cemetery.
