Shirley A. Huffman,

Shirley A. Huffman, age 74, of Taylorsville, passed away on Monday, April 2nd, 2012 at Hospice of Catawba Valley.  She was born on May 25th, 1937 in Catawba County.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Drum Huffman; stepfather, Paul Huffman; brother, Bud Huffman; 2 sisters: Dude Lail, and Mary Herman; and 1 great-grandchild.  Those left to cherish her memory include her fiancé of 40 years, Kenneth Childers; 3 sons: Rick Huffman, Billy Huffman, and Kenneth Huffman and wife Penny; 1 daughter, Linda Starr & husband J.R. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren in addition to 2 great-grandchildren.  Services will be private.   Alexander Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
