Sonny Max Brown

Sonny Max Brown, age 84, of Taylorsville, passed away in Brian Center East, Hickory, on Monday, Feb. 27, 2017. Born to the late Charles E. and Stella Brookshire Brown on Oct. 29, 1932, in Alexander county, his was machine operator in manufacturing, employed by Hancock and Moore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Brown Reese, and Dollie McDuffie, as well as a brother, Shuford Brown.
Sonny was of the Baptist Faith and was an avid fisherman.
Mr. Brown is survived by one daughter, Faith Brown Davis of Taylorsville. One grandson, Bobby Davis of Mt. Holly, and three great grandchildren. He has a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017, from 1-2:00 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Service with funeral services in the chapel of the funeral at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery.
The family has requested in honor and memory of Sonny that you take someone fishing.
