Steve Holden Loudermelk, age 62, of Taylorsville, precious husband and dad, finished his journey home on January 10th, 2012 after a 4 year illness and a sudden decline. Steve was born on February 11th, 1949 to parents Ned H. and Nettie B. Loudermelk, and married Karen Jolly on February 1st, 1975. He was an Air Force Veteran, was of the Baptist Faith, and was a lifelong member of Beulah Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded on the journey by his nephew, Jacob E. Frye. In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Karen Jolly Loudermelk; his son, Will Loudermelk and special friend, Deidre Hubbard; his daughter, Micaela Loudermelk and fiance Enrique Vazquez; step-grandson, Ethan Vazquez; and honorary granddaughter, Skylar Askew. Also left to remember Steve will be his sister, Ruth Kennedy and husband David; in-laws: Fred T. & Mary Jolly, Roxanne and Alan Norton, and Dana & Eric Frye; nieces and nephews: Audra Kennedy, Joshua Kennedy, Terry and Cassey Benton, Olivia, Chesney, and Gemma Benton, Timmy and Mandy Norton, Evie & Ollie Norton, and Mason Frye; and a host of close family and cousins. -and also, his sweet furry companion, Miss Chloe. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13th, 2012 at Alexander Funeral Service from 1:30 – 2:45 P.M. A Memorial Service to follow at 3 P.M. inside the Alexander Funeral Chapel where Rev. Steve Gunter. Burial will follow in Taylorsville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to your favorite charity in memory of Steve.
