Steven Eugene Worley

Steven Eugene Worley, age 60, born on Saturday, July 11, 1964, in Catawba County, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, whose impact on the lives of those around him will be remembered forever.

Steve dedicated his professional life to the food industry, working diligently as a truck driver. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, demonstrating his deep love for his nation and the values it represents.

A devoted family man, Steve leaves behind his wife, Angela Ellen Worley, his daughters, Cynthia Worley Malin (Nathan) and Stephanie Michelle Worley. He embraced the role of stepfather to Sierra Marie Jimenez and was a loving grandfather to Journey, Kaydence, Liam, Elijah, and Amelia, finding immense joy in playing with them and creating treasured memories. Steve is also survived by his beloved parents, Larry Worley and Ruth Cook, as well as his cherished brother, Scott Worley, and sister, Suzanne Smith. He shared a special bond with his eternal brothers, Larry McQuinn and Dennis Byrd, alongside a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who considered him a true confidant and support system.

In addition to his family, Steve found happiness in his pastimes. He was an avid outdoorsman, relishing fishing and the beauty of nature. Cooking and grilling for his loved ones were among his favorite activities, as was taking cruises to tropical destinations with family and friends. Music also played a significant role in his life, with a particular fondness for classic alternative tunes.

Steve will be remembered for his generous spirit and the numerous ways he lent a helping hand to friends in times of need. His legacy of love, devotion, and kindness serves as an enduring reminder of the profound impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service, located at 193 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681. Full military rites will be provided. Inurnment will be with the family.
