Susan Elaine Meadlock Wallace

Susan Meadlock Wallace, age 67, of Taylorsville, NC, returned to her eternal home Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 5:30 in the evening. Susan was born Sunday, March 3, 1957, in Alexander County, NC, to the late Roland and Edith Meadlock. Susan attended Alexander Central High School and then later served her country in The United States Army. After her honorable discharge from the Army, she had a daughter, Carrie, and five years later a son, Phillip.

Susan, being a people person worked mostly in sales and then later returning to study accounting at Middle Tennessee State University. She resided in Tennessee for several years making many lifelong friends and later married Terry Wallace in 2002. The couple decided to return to her family home in Taylorsville, NC, where they opened Cross Creek Barn on her family farm. Susan’s husband Terry passed away in 2023; however, she continued to run her horse boarding business until her recent death.

Left to love and cherish her memory include her son, Phillip and daughter-in-law Kerri, daughter, Carrie and son-in-law Ben; along with her grandchildren, Grant and Amelia Wiechman; Her older brothers, Danny and Rick Meadlock; nephews, Matthew, Andrew and Monty; and a multitude of lifelong friends and neighbors.

Susan was of the Christian faith, enjoyed cooking for her family and friends any chance she got. She loved her horses and loved her family most of all. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She will be truly missed.

Susan wished to be cremated. She did not wish to have formal service. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
