Tanner Quan Howell,

Tanner Quan Howell, age 25, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Mission Hospital in Asheville. Tanner was born to the late Juanita "Bo" Howell on May 10, 1991 in Iredell County. Tanner enjoyed watching sports especially Basketball. He loved his music and was always nicely dressed. Tanner was loved by many and will be remembered for his loving personality. His family was his heart and he could always be depended on when they needed him. In addition to his mother Tanner was preceded in death by grandparents: Rev. Leon Thomas and Margaret Josephene Parsons Howell and a special cousin Felipe Howell.

Tanner leaves to carry on his legacy sister, Stacie Howell of Spruce Pine, brothers: Jeff Howell & wife Linda of Hickory, and Spencer Howell of Taylorsville; five aunts: Mamie Littlejohn, Laura Parsons, Mary Ann Howell, Patricia Howell, and Diane Smith & husband Leavey who was also Tanner's godmother; four uncles: James, Greg, Tom, and Brian Howell; special cousins: Dazemon Littlejohn, ( Goddaughter Ii'yahna), Nick Parsons, Josh Howell, Frank Howell, Mark Howell, and Jarvis Howell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. A special thanks to Tanner's nephew Devin.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Alexander Funeral Service from 7:00-9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 24, 2016 at St. John Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the funeral. The Rev. John C.Rowe and Rev. T.E. Martin will be officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Pallbearers include: Nick Parsons, Dazman Littlejohn, Mark Howell, Jarvis Howell, Arturo Longoria, and Joseph Parsons. The family requests that in addition to flowers that donations be made to Alexander Funeral Service to help with expenses.
