Theressa Howell Barnes,

Theressa (Bebee) Barnes, age 59, of Wilkesboro, North Carolina was born in Taylorsville, North Carolina on December 3, 1954. She departed this life after a protracted illness on August 28, 2014. She joined St. John's Church at an early age where she remained a member until her death. She graduated from Alexander Central in 1973. She worked for many years as an employee at E. R. Carpenter and Tysons, and was a certified cosmetologist. Theressa was an avid pet lover and was known for her magnetic personality. Her laugh was infectious and she has been described as a "self-made clown". Bebee had a tremendous presence, and anyone who met her fought to stay close to her. To know Bebee was to possess a priceless pearl. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Kenneth Barnes, Sr and her son, Kenneth Barnes, Jr. She is survived in death by her daughter, Kennechia Marie Barnes of Wilkesboro who resides at her home; her parents Mabel and Antoine Julien of Spring House, PA; three sisters: Wondra Gemende of Riverside, CA; Tya-Mae Julien, MD of Dallas, TX; Svena Julien, MD of Baltimore, MD; two brothers Matheau Julien, MD of Denver, CO; and Philippe Julien, MD of San Diego, CA.



Viewing Services will be held on Saturday August 30, 2014 from 6pm-8pm at Alexander Funeral Service, 193 North Carolina  Hwy. 16, Taylorsville, NC 28681. Home Going Service will be held on Sunday August 31, 2014 at 2pm at St. John Baptist Church 224 Quail Hollow Lane, Taylorsville, NC 28681.
