Therlow "Junior" Bowman,

Therlow "Junior" Bowman, age 68, of the Wittenburg Community, Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 5 at his residence following a period of declining health. Born March 12, 1945 in Alexander County to the late Thurlow and Vadis Mecimore Bowman, he was of the Baptist faith. Before retirement, he was an upholster for AlexVale and Craftmaster Furniture Companies. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother: Jerry Bowman and son: Joey Bowman. He is survived by his daughter: Lisa Bentley and husband Randall; granddaughters: Hannah and Gracie Bentley; sister: Ann James; brother: Rayford "Bud" Mecimore and wife Helen; nephews: Terry James and wife Kim, and David Mecimore and wife Darlene; great nieces: Brooke James and Jamie Smith and husband James; great nephews: Cody James and Josh Mecimore all of Taylorsville.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 4:00 pm at Millersville Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Orren officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Gideon's International at Po Box 140800; Nashville, TN 37214.
