Thomas James Nestor, 67, returned to his heavenly home on March 15, 2016, after a valiant battle with cancer. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Tom was born to the late Brown and Phyllis Nestor on November 12, 1948, in Davis, West Virginia. He graduated from Overlea High School in Baltimore, Maryland. Tom like to build and make things with his hands. Carpentry was his passion. He was kind and will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen; brother, Blaine, and brother-in-law, Joe.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children Scott (Tracy), Keith (Julie), Angie (Andy), Ashleigh (Joey), and Brandy (David); grandchildren, Hunter, Morgan, Zoe, Myiam, Beck, Kenzi, Kasi, Greyson, and Kenan; brothers, Richard (Thersa) and Clyde (Alma); sister, Karlyn; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
The memorial service will be held at Reformation Lutheran Church at 6:30 pm on Saturday, March 19, 2016, with the celebration of life following the service. Pastor Craig Sigmon will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Memorial Fund at Reformation Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service of Taylorsville, with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at Reformation Lutheran Church.
