Timothy Lee Fincannon,

Timothy Lee Fincannon, age 55 of Hickory passed on Tuesday morning January 3 at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley, after a lengthy illness.   Born in Iredell County April 4, 1956 to Bobby Junior Fincannon and J. Agnes Martin Harrington, he had been employed by Finish Line Transport as a Truck Driver and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.  Besides his father, those preceding him in death are his grandparents Mr.  & Mrs. John Martin, and Mr. & Mrs. Charles Fincannon, as well as an Uncle and Aunt:  John and Mary Matheson.  Those left to cherish the memories of Mr. Fincannon are his wife, Tammy of the home.  One daughter;  Myra Fincannon of Wilmington, NC.  His mother and stepfather Agnes and Darrell Harrington of Stony Point; Five brothers:  Sammy Fincannon and wife Cathy; Danny Fincannon and wife Linda; Jimmy Fincannon and wife Donna; Jody Harrington, all from Stony Point; and David Fincannon of Hiddenite.  One sister Becky Cline and husband Roger of Taylorsville.  He also leaves behind his mother-in-law Carolyn Clark and husband Barry of Lincolnton, NC and his father-in-law Ray Moretz and wife Frances of Hickory, as well a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.  He also leaves behind a special friend that was like a brother, Dennis Early of Moravian Falls.  The family will receive friends at Alexander Funeral Service on Friday evening January 6, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7, at Antioch Baptist Church at 11:00 am with Rev. Mark Morris officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Hickory.  Pallbearers will be Corey Cline, Zach Fincannon, Kevin Bentley, Glenn Matheson, Bobby Matheson, and Terry Deal.  Arrangements entrusted to Alexander Funeral & Cremation Service.
