Virginia Belle Watts Price, age 90, of Stony Point, passed on to her eternal home, at Iredell Memorial Hospital on Monday, September 14, 2015. Born on Tuesday, February 17, 1925 to the late William Marcus and Lottie Barnes Watts in Alexander County.
Mrs. Price was a lifelong member of Stony Point Baptist Church and a former pianist. As a loving daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, Virginia treated everyone with love, gracefulness, and respect.
Virginia was a graduate of Stony Point High School and the wife of Jay Lee Price for 69 years. She was retired from Bali in Statesville. Along with her parents Virginia was preceded in death by a infant sister Laura Helen and one son Dale E. Price.
In addition to her husband and many loved ones who are left to cherish her precious memory are; one brother Billy Ray Watts, son Larry N. Price and wife Twyla, one daughter Wanda Harrington and husband Don, four grandchildren; Bradley Harrington and wife Kate, Mark Harrington and wife Carla, Jamie Peoples and husband Michael, Ashley Price and wife Natalie, eight great grandchildren who always brightened her days, Darion, Katelyn, Brailey, and Braxton Harrington, Bryson & Tucker Peoples, Ashlyn & Avery Price, one sister-in-law, faithful friend Mrs. Doris Williams of Statesville, and her loving and faithful caregivers; Pam Bentley & Patsy Isenhour.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Stony Point Baptist Church from 2:00-3:30 pm with the funeral service following at 4:00 pm. The Rev. Henry Cook, Rev. Durant Barr, and Rev. Phil Addison will be officiating. Burial will take place at Friendship Lutheran Church Cemetery in Taylorsville. The family requests that in addition to flowers that memorials be made to the Hospice of your choice.
