Wade "Tommy" Cox,

Wade "Tommy" Cox, age 56, of Taylorsville, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at his residence. He was the son of the late William Wade and Jenny Martha Oxentine Cox who survives. Mr. Cox was born on June 12, 1959 in Caldwell County. He attended Revelation Church in Taylorsville. Mr. Cox was a very giving, kind, joyful, loving person and was always so full of life. He was known as "Mr. Fix It". In addition to his father Mr. Cox was preceded in death  by one brother, Jimmy Calvin Cox.

A long with his mother Mr. Cox is survived by his wife of 10 years, Sheila "Joyce" Carr Cox of the home, two daughters: Sheena Marie Coffey & husband Robert of Hudson, Misty Dawn Ortiz & husband German of Hickory; two brothers: Billy Ray Cox & wife Cynthia of Taylorsville, Eddie Cox of Spartanburg, SC; two sisters: Diane Price & husband Archie of Monroe, Linda Louise Cox of Taylorsville; three step children: April Connet & husband John of Winston Salem, Tamera Coffey & husband Brent of Taylorsville, John  Jordan of Ashville; five step grandchildren: Ian, Colin, & Aiden Coffey, Landen Perkins, & Jaydyn Coffey, and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Alexander Funeral Service in the chapel at 4:00 pm. The family will receive friends following the service. The Rev. Michael E. Carr will be officiating. Inurnment will follow with the family.
