Wanda Sue Bowman,

Wanda Sue Bowman, age 72, of Bethlehem community, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 at her residence. She was born on December 15, 1943 to the late Garland Oscar and Mae Wright Travis in Caldwell County. Mrs. Bowman was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid bingo player and never met a stranger. Sue always made sure her family was well fed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Harold Devon Bowman of the home, son Darryl Bowman & wife Tammy of Conover, two grandsons; Cory Bowman & wife Ashley of Charlotte, Dakota Bowman of Conover, brother Butch Travis of Mountain View, three sisters; Peggy Smith of Vacaville, California, Noreen Martin of Mountain View, Brenda Clark of Hudson, and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friend Sue Price.

Visitation is 12:30-2:00 pm Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Alexander Funeral Service with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm in the chapel. The Rev. Gary W. Jennings will be officiating the service. Burial will take place in Pinecrest Cemetery in Granite, NC.
