Warren Herman Singleton,

Warren Herman Singleton, age 82, of Sherrills Ford,  passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011, in Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville following a lengthy illness. Warrenwas born on July 29th, 1928, in Oconee County, South Carolinato the late Warren Herman and Ila-belle Spencer Singleton.  He retired from the US Army, having served both during Koreaand Viet Nam. He was awarded 3 Bronze Stars during the Korean Conflict for his service. Later in life, he retired from Southern Furniture, where he worked in the shipping department. He was non-denominational in his faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded by his wife. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Marie Singleton Roberts.  He is survived by his son, Gary Thomas Singleton of  Springfield, Al; as well as 2 grandsons: James Warren Minton and Michael “Mikey” Burton Roberts both of the home. Funeral arrangements are still incomplete.  Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service has been entrusted with arrangements.
