William "Bill" Silas Bradley, age 79, of Hiddenite, passed away at Frye Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. He was born to the late Rev. William Silas and Hilda Dees Bradley in Thomasville, GA on February 1, 1937. Before retirement Bill was employed as administrator and regional director of Providence Convalescence in Charlotte and Southern Railway in Spenser. Bill served in the United States Army Reserves. He was a member of Rocky Springs United Methodist Church and served as Sunday School superintendant, was a member of the church choir, and also taught Sunday School.
Bill is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Mae McLain Bradley, daughter Lisa Bradley McLain & husband Marcus of Hiddenite, two grandchildren: Mindy McLain Severt & husband Chris and Myles Bradley McLain; two sister: Lynnette Kinard of Folly Beach, SC and Patricia Wilson of Hendersonville, one sister in law Hannah Keever & brother in law Norris Keever of Hiddenite, and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Rocky Springs United Methodist Church at 4:00 pm, with the visitation following. The Rev. Ricky Mitchell and Rev. Robert Herron will be officiating.
