William Lee Lackey,

William Harvey Lee Lackey, age 70, of Taylorsville, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Caldwell County Hospice. He was born to the late John William and Thelma Flowers Lackey on Sunday, September 2, 1945 in Alexander County. He was a member of Mt. Nebo Unity Holiness Church in Jonesville. William was known for his hard work and devotion to his family who came second only to the Lord.
*In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Ava Shirleen Lackey, brother Atwell Junior Lackey, and sister Shirley Lackey.
He leaves to carry on his legacy his soul mate and loving wife of 44 years Linda Hagler Lackey of the home, three sons; Chris of the home, Gregory of Taylorsville, Ivan and wife Cierra of Gaffney, SC, daughters Yolanda Maddox and husband Allan of Lenoir, & Raven Blount of Taylorsville, daughter in-law Crystal Lackey of the home, sisters; Mary Antone of Conover, Mable McClain and husband Ronnie, Tracie Daniels, Rhonda Flowers all of Taylorsville, eight grandchildren, 16 brothers and sisters in-law, and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation will be 11:00 am - 12:45 pm at Pleasant Home FBH Church in Stony Point on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm. The Bishop R.C. Bryant, Bishop A.W. Gray, and Rev. Matthew Taylor officiating. Burial will take place at Mt. Nebo Unity Holiness Church in Jonesville, 413 Cedarbrooke Rd, Jonesville, NC 28642
