William Clyde Miller, age 48, born on Monday, April 5, 1976, in Catawba County, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones in Alexander County on Monday, October 21, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to his family. Clyde was of the Lutheran faith.
Clyde was a devoted husband to Annette Miller, with whom he shared 24 wonderful years. Together, they created a warm and loving home filled with unforgettable memories. He cherished his role as a father to his sons, William Clyde Miller II and Myles Monroe Miller. Clyde also embraced his role as a stepfather to Justin Helton (Michaela), Summer Begley (Gage), and Hayley Matheson and took pride in being a grandfather to four granddaughters. Clyde is also survived by his mother and father, Teresa Houston Swink and Carroll Swink, his brothers, Terry Miller II and Joe Miller. He is also remembered fondly by his aunt and uncle, Roger and Vicki Houston.
His devotion extended beyond his family to his career as a service technician for Spectrum. Clyde had an affinity for the outdoors; he loved hunting, fishing, and kayaking, often enjoying these activities alongside his family. Additionally, he found joy in working on, racing, and riding motorcycles and dirt bikes, pursuits that reflected his adventurous spirit.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee Roy and Alice Houston, and his infant grandson, Gage.
The visitation for William will take place on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm, followed by a funeral service starting at 3:00 pm, both at Alexander Funeral Service located at 193 NC-16, Taylorsville, NC 28681. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. Pastor Peter Frank will officiate. John Teague, Terry Miller II, Clyde Miller II, Justin Helton, Brent Carlton, George Oglesby Jr., Antuan Surratt, Daryl Perkins, Wally Perkins, and Danny Head will serve as pallbearers.

William Clyde Miller will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His memory will forever remain alive in the hearts of his family and friends.
